Bernard Pierson
Managing Partner

Bernard has over 10 years of real estate experience. He has specialized in ground-up development and investing opportunities. Most recently, he led the development of over 100,000 square feet of single-family homes and condominiums, including land and infrastructure works. 

On the multifamily investing side, Bernard has been involved in general partnerships totaling 300+ units. He has also participated in the acquisition of 1,500+ units across 10+ properties with limited partnership interest. 

Bernard holds a Master’s in Real Estate from Georgetown University and a BS in Business Administration from American University. He also earned a Certificate in Commercial Real Estate Analysis and Investment from MIT and is an active Urban Land Institute (ULI) member. 

Nahila Campos
Marketing & Operations

Passionate about innovation and the role that digital platforms can have in achieving business objectives, Nahila brings to the table over 10 years of experience in digital marketing strategy and business development.

Her experience within digital includes everything from reputation & positioning campaigns, lead generation, paid media campaigns, among many others.

In her career, Nahila has led award-winning digital marketing strategies and campaigns for global clients such as WeWork, Mastercard, Coca-Cola, and many others. Her work has also received several awards including a Gold Stevie Award for Digital Campaign of the Year, PR News’ Campaign of the Year, a Gold Effie Award for best local campaign, among others.

Nahila is a happy wife and mother of two boys. She also has a Bachelor of Science degree in Mass Communications from Boston University, and a minor in French language. She also completed a Digital marketing strategy program at Harvard University. 

Gina Ropain
Operations Coordinator

Gina is a skilled professional, passionate about international relations, business, and marketing. With over eight years of experience in various fields, Gina began her career in the diplomatic arena, representing her country abroad. However, she quickly discovered her passion for administrative areas while occupying leadership roles in the public and private sectors.

While pursuing her Master's Degree in Business Administration at the Universidad del Norte in Barranquilla, Gina uncovered her true passion for marketing. She had the opportunity to create and lead the marketing area for a utility company. She successfully managed a budget of approximately $500,000 and positioned the brand nationally and internationally.

She is fluent in Spanish and English and has advanced knowledge of French and Portuguese.

Tomas Buitrago
Analyst- Real Estate Acquisitions 

Tomas is an experienced real estate professional with a proven track record in the execution, asset management, and analysis of real estate investments. With several years of experience in the construction industry in the Miami Metro area, he decided to pursue a Master's degree in Real Estate Development from Columbia University in New York City. There, he specialized in the intersection of finance, construction management, and technology.

Following his studies, Tomas held positions in asset management for a private company with a large portfolio of industrial properties in the North NJ area. He also played a pivotal role in the execution of development projects for a GP fund for a renowned NYC developer, with budgets of up to $200MM throughout the East Coast of the US. His expertise in project management, budgeting, and financial analysis allowed him to deliver superior results and exceed client expectations.

Bill Ham
Advisor

Broadwell Property Group, COO: Bill has over 20 years experience in real estate and owns upwards of 1,000 multifamily units. He has a proven track record of identifying, acquiring, operating, and divesting of large footprint Multifamily Housing. Bill also owns Phoenix Residential Management, a property management company operating over 1,500 units.

Most recently, he wrote the book Creative Cash, a masterpiece on multifamily creative financing. Bill can be seen and heard on countless podcasts and webinars as well as standing on stage giving presentations at tradeshows and other forums both online and off.

Darren Light
Advisor

Crawford Investments LLC, Principal Investor: A mechanical engineer by trade, Darren quickly realized that his W-2 job and 401K would not support the current and retirement lifestyle that he wanted. He started purchasing single-family rentals and doing flips 4 months after attending a local seminar. In 2017, he went full-time into real estate investing by cashing in his 401K and stock options. In November of 2017 he attended the very first Jake and Gino live event in Knoxville.

Since October of 2018 he has become part owner on the GP side of over 200 doors.

Darren started a Multifamily meetup in Johnson City, TN in March of this 2019. With Johnson City being such a great market, he saw the need to bring other multifamily investors together to leverage the power of partnerships, the market, and capital.
